(Aichi) -(2000) Does a regional community exist in contemporary Japan? Two public committees proposed educational reformation ideas. One says that youth should be obliged to serve for a regional community. The other says Saturday and Sunday club activities at school shoud be stopped and transfered to not yet established regional sport clubs. Are these proposals really based on the analyses of the current facts in the Japanese educational system and the society? Wouldn't they make the problematic situation worse?
