-(1999) Letterland, the method for teaching reading to children, is now available within Japan at an online store. The Letterland method uses short anecdotes and pictures to help children remember spelling patterns and sounds of English words. "Children in our classes are learning to read far more quickly and enjoyably by using this method. More than half of the elementary schools in the UK use the method to teach reading," commented Douglas Corin of Letterland in Japan.
